Manny Abarca Missing

Since Jackson County lawmaker Manny Abarca issued a statement rejecting his wife’s accusation that he and his son vanished, it is still unclear whether the missing persons report made for him and his two-year-old son, Luca, is accurate. At this point, it’s unclear if they actually went missing.

According to the Shawnee Mission Police Department, “the city has not yet had the opportunity to verify him and his son’s well-being through direct, in-person,” after a news release informing the public that he and his son are safe. The hunt for Manny and his son is still going on as of today, Monday, June 2.

Luca’s Missing Report

Manny’s wife, Alexis, filed the missing person report on Sunday, June 1, 2025, stating that she hasn’t seen her kid, Luca, since Wednesday night, May 28, 2025. Although Luca’s identity was not disclosed to the public, you can get a sense of who he is by closely examining his photos on on his mother Facebook page.

Alexis claims that Luca has been ill and need immediate medical attention.

“I am asking for help as a mother that is desperate to get her son back. Anyone that knows our family, knows that I am the preferred and primary caregiver for both kids.” Alexis said on Facebook.

It is still unknown if they are safe or not, even after Manny’s released statement. The community is looking for a peaceful resolution to this matter and the safe return of the child.

This is a severe situation, so please be alert if you are in the Jackson County region. Contact his wife Alexis at 620-474-7406 or message her on Facebook if you see Luca or Manny Abarca IV.
