It was made known to the public through an Instagram account on Sunday, June 15, 2025, that a young man went missing on Saturday, June 14, from Lake Lanier in Vanns Tavern Park, Forsyth County, Georgia.
Family members have identified the missing person as 27-year-old Ramon Diaz-Soria. He disappeared and hasn’t been seen since Saturday afternoon at 6:00 p.m., when he plunged into Lake Lanier at a cove just north of Vans Tavern Park.
As of Sunday, June 15, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is aggressively searching for him.
He was wearing a life jacket, according to the authorities, but it was not fastened securely. To help with the search, game wardens are using sonar equipment.

Ramon is described as Hispanic, fair-skinned, 5’3″, weighing between 120 and 130 pounds, and having black hair.
To assist find him quickly, his friends and family are urging the public to provide a hand in any way they can.
