Cape Town: FACSA stated that two people were shot outside “Pick n Pay” on Voortrekker Road in Parow, Cape Town, Thursday afternoon at around 3:37 p.m. Authorities say one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene and the other is critically ill.
The alleged underworld boss Andre Naude, a verified associate of the late Mark Lifman, a person long connected to Cape Town’s underworld, is thought to be among the victims.
Following the death of Naude’s accomplice, Mark Lifman, in George seven months prior, this homicide is the most recent in a series of targeted killings connected to Cape Town’s murky criminal underworld.
Whether Naude’s murder was a revenge attack or a component of a larger purge inside the criminal hierarchy is presently being looked into by authorities.
In the trial of the deceased “Steroid king,” Brian Wainstein, Naude is now the fifth defendant to be executed. One of the defendants in that case, which began in 2017, is Jerome Booysen, the alleged leader of the sexy boys group.
Police have not yet released a formal statement, so details are still limited. However, the public’s concerns about the continuous turf conflicts between Cape Town’s organized criminal networks and nightclub security have been rekindled by this most recent murder.
