The Calgary Hitmen announced the passing of their former player, Orca Wiesblatt, on their X page on Monday afternoon, September 15.

“We are heartbroken for his family, friends, and everyone that knew and loved him. On behalf of the ownership, management, coaches, players, and staff of Calgary Sports and Entertainment , we extend our deepest heartfelt sympathies during this very difficult time.”

The loss of Orca Wiesblatt, Ozzy and Oasiz’s older brother, is being mourned by the Milwaukee Admirals and the entire hockey community.

What Happened To Orca Wiesblatt

On Sunday morning, September 14, 2025, Orca, an ECHL forward with the Allen Americans, was involved in a car accident in British Columbia and passed away at the age of 25.

Orca was an extremely gifted player who played for the Bandits in the 2016–17 and 2017–18 seasons, winning both the Western Canada Cup and the AJHL Championship while he was at Brooks.

To Orca’s family, billets, friends, past coaches, teammates, and everyone who loved him, the Bandits staff, players, board of directors, volunteers, and fans offer their sympathies.

His entire family, including his brothers Ozzy, Oasiz, and Ocean, will remember him.
