Michigan Shooting Update, 4 Victims Dead and 2 Injured

Michigan Shooting Update - Thomas Jacob Sanford

As investigators continue their investigation into the shooting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, the victims have not yet been identified.

A victim of yesterday’s massacre at a Mormon church in Michigan claims that the gunman, a Marine veteran, was roving around asking people if they liked Jesus Christ or Joseph Smith, the organization’s founder, before shooting them.

The White House press secretary said on Fox Monday morning that Thomas Jacob Sanford, the gunman, “hated people of the Mormon faith.”

The shooter came across as extremely friendly when he knocked on houses a week prior, according to a candidate for the local city council, but then abruptly changed the subject to how much he detested Mormons.

The motive for the Michigan church massacre by Thomas Jacob Sanford has not yet been revealed by investigators. Online allegations on his political beliefs, which range from Democratic donations to Trump support, are contradictory and unsubstantiated, and investigations are still underway.

The reasons behind mass shootings vary; there is no evidence that they are common among MAGA Republican Christians or any other particular demographic.
