Leah Hatton Missing

Assist the Hatton family in finding their 16-year-old daughter, Leah Hatton, who vanished on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, leaving relatives perplexed. The person of interest is James Opperman, a 49-year-old OR man.

James typically drives a BMW that is black and has tinted windows. He is also absent. Both of them are gone now, as he had been grooming her.

After being alerted, the Kentucky State Police are making every effort to find Leah and are asking the public to also assist in the search.

At around 3 p.m., she was last spotted in Williamstown at the Grant County Library, dressed in burgundy cycle shorts, Converes sneakers, and a black rash guard.

She currently weighs 112 pounds and stands 5’1″. She has a blonde hair and blue eyes. She also uses the name Malia Sinclair as an alias.

She is the daughter of Mike Hatton and Kellie Courtney Hatton of Brooksville, Kentucky.

Leah’s father “Mike Hatton” posted on Facebook: “We want to thank everyone for the outpouring of kind thoughts and prayers. We appreciate your support very much. We can not however keep up with the volume of messages and calls. We’re in contact with Kentucky State Police and doing everything we know to do. We will get to texts and IM’s as soon as we can. Probably best not to call unless you have information regarding the whereabouts of Leah or James Opperman. We really appreciate everyone.

No one has heard from her or been able to determine her location since.
