On Tuesday afternoon, June 10, 2025, Fairfax County police discovered a remains of Kyle Coleman, a 19-year-old Gainesville native and graduate of Battlefield High School, who went missing on Friday, June 6 after being involved in an automobile accident. Fairfax County Police shared the heartbreaking news on X, around 6:30 p.m.
“While at a prayer vigil for Kyle Coleman this evening, a close family friend announced to the crowd that the 19-year-old is no longer with us. ” Cody Alcorn said on Facebook.
His remains were discovered near the location where Kyle vanished. The body was found by the diving crew from the little body of water in Tysons, close to Galleria Drive and Westpark Drive.
The cause of death is being investigated.
Who Is Kyle Coleman
Coleman has finished his first year at Atlanta’s Morehouse College.
He is a Black male that stands 5’11” and weighs 160 lbs.
Detectives, helicopters, drones, the Real Time Crime Center, K9 teams, and the hunt & Rescue Team were all used by Fairfax County Police to assist in the hunt for Kyle. It is regrettable that the outcome did not meet everyone’s expectations.
