Kerr County TX: Catastrophic flash floods in Central Texas has claimed several lives. Small, rural towns are being flooded by the Guadalupe River, which crested its banks in the middle of the night. Kerrville, Center Point, Ingram, Comfort, and other areas are among them.

According to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office, more details regarding the dead will not be released until the next of kin have been informed.

Right now, the Guadalupe River is at its second-highest flood stage ever. According to authorities, the danger is far from gone at this time, as additional rain is predicted.

Severe flooding along the Guadalupe River was caused by widespread rainfall from San Angelo to Kerrville. Riverfront towns near wildlife habitats and campers were at risk due to swift-moving water, so search teams employed boats to do rescues on Friday morning, July 4.

Some families have been informed that their daughters are still missing, according to Camp Mystic. It’s still unclear how many females are missing.

According to reports, two Dallas girls are among the missing.

Right now, staff and campers are being flown off the location.

Rescue and search operations continue.
