Jayleigh Moralez, an 18-year-old catcher for the Hamshire-Fannett Varsity Softball team, has died. The untimely death of Jayleigh occurred on Sunday morning, September 21, 2025. The reason of death was not stated.
On Monday, September 22, the public was informed by the Hamshire-Fannett Athletic Booster Club via a Facebook post. “Jayleigh was more than just an incredible athlete—she was a leader, a teammate, and a friend whose presence lit up the field and the lives of everyone who knew her.” they said.
Jayleigh, who was well-known for her contagious friendliness and radiant smile, made a big difference in her school and community, influencing the lives of students, teammates, family, and friends.
A standout player for the Hamshire-Fannett Varsity Softball team, Jayleigh was praised for her leadership abilities and kind disposition in addition to her physical prowess. Please remember her family in your prayers and thoughts as the community rallies to assist them during this trying time.
