It has been verified that the body discovered in a Lakewood alleyway in the 9600 block of W. Colfax Avenue on Friday, June 6, 2025, is that of 34-year-old Denver hair stylist Jax Gratton, who had been missing for almost two months. Gratton’s mother made the announcement on Saturday, June 7, 2025, on Facebook. According to reports, Jax’s body was found severely decomposed and wearing the same clothes as when she was last seen.

She was last seen leaving her University Hills apartment by her roommate on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. She had left behind every employee’s belongings, even her cherished cat, for which she had no intentions when she vanished.
Gratton’s roommate claimed that she had informed him that she was leaving that evening and would be gone for roughly three hours, but she never came back, according to friends.
When she missed client appointments the following day and did not show up for work, she was reported missing.
As of yet, no cause of death has been determined because it is still unclear what exactly happened to her.
What happened to her is being looked into by the Denver Police Department.
