Golden City Gymnastics announced on Facebook on Thursday, June 5, 2025, the untimely death of Gabrielle (Gabby) Eguia, a longtime member. Her life was abruptly altered after she was involved in a major vehicle accident on Friday, May 23. Even though she put up a fierce fight, she was unable to overcome her terrible injuries. The accident took Gabby out on May 28, the day she was set to graduate and cross the stage.

After the vehicle accident, doctors did everything they could to maintain her in a stable state during her stay in the intensive care unit, including possible procedures, but she did not survive.

Her family members are currently in need of assistance.

A fundraiser has been established by Blair Alsup. The purpose of this campaign is to assist in paying for any expenses her family might have during this time.

GoFundMe has now raised $17,000 of Gabrielle’s $18,000 target. Her family is currently in need of your prayers and financial assistance.
