The terrible death of Firefighter Tyler Weidner, a hero, at the age of 33 on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, is being mourned by the Easton Community and Fire Department. The devastating loss has left the Easton community and the Easton Fire Department in shock.

Tyler continued his father’s career as a firefighter at the Easton Fire Department, Kevin Weidner. He committed his life to duty, bravery, and compassion. He was a proud alumnus of The Citadel and Easton Area High School.

Being a firefighter requires bravery, selflessness, and an unshakable commitment to helping others. In addition to being a devoted employee of the Easton Fire Department, Tyler was also a son, brother, friend, and neighbor whose influence went well beyond the confines of the firehouse.

His memory will endure in the lives he touched and safeguarded, and his courage and selflessness will always serve as an inspiration to everyone who knew him.

To the Easton Fire Department: “as you mourn the loss of a brother, may you also feel the gratitude and respect of countless people who understand the weight you carry and the dangers you face every day. The bonds you share as a family in service are unbreakable, and may that strength sustain you as you honor Tyler’s memory and continue the noble work to which he dedicated his life.”
