Renesmay Eutsey, age nine, was discovered dead after going missing in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Her adoptive mother, 31-year-old Kourtney Eutsey, who is currently facing homicide charges, reported her missing on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at around 12:41 p.m. in the vicinity of the 100 block of 3rd Street in Dunbar Borough.
What Happened To Renesmay Eutsey
The foster mother claimed to have last seen Renesmay in her bedroom at two in the morning, however Pennsylvania State Police said this was untrue at the time of Renesmay’s disappearance. She was last seen in the vicinity at around 6 a.m., according to Sergeant Richard Sizer, after a “electronic device she was believed to have used” pinged inside the house before to her disappearance.
They claimed that it is unusual because the child’s foster mother, with whom she shared a home, did not report her missing until nearly 1 p.m. According to officials, the child had developmental impairments at the time and was particularly vulnerable to harm or injury.
On Thursday morning, September 4th, Renesmay’s body was discovered in a waste bag in the Youghiogheny River close to Smithton, about 20 miles from Dunbar.
According to police, Kourtney of Dunbar, who the district attorney has identified as the girl’s “adoptive parent,” is facing criminal homicide charges for her suspected role in the child’s demise.
DA Mike Aubele: “Many questions remain unanswered. Therefore, anyone with surveillance, information, or anything else that could aid us in this inquiry should get in touch with the State Police Uniontown.”
The tale is still in progress.
More information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
