Following a gunshot at its main gate at around 12:29 p.m. on Tuesday, the Nellis Air Force Base was reopened on Wednesday, September 24, over nine hours after it had been closed.
A red truck pulled up to the gate, and after a few minutes, there were two gunshots, police arrived, and then there were more bullets. Then the small bird and ambulances passed.
Street witnesses reported that a red pickup pulled up to the gate, two gunshots were heard, police arrived a short while after, and then there were yet more gunfire.
The suspect fired multiple shots at the security guards, who then shot him, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The man was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after sadly surviving.
According to “Mrgunsngear” on X, the main gate at Nellis AFB has reopened after being closed Wednesday morning due to the event that occurred overnight.
