Darius Macdougall Missing from Crowsnest Pass, Alberta, Canada

Darius Macdougall Missing

It is now the third day Wednesday, September 24, of the search for five-year-old Darius Macdougall from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He disappeared on Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. close to Island Lake Campground, which is about 4 km south of Crowsnest Pass and ever since then he hasn’t been seen or heard from.

Darius reportedly lost contact with his six family members when they were out for a walk. Because of his autism, he might not react to calls or searchers as the search is ongoing.

He is said to be around 4 feet tall and have short brown hair. He had on sweatpants and a hoodie in shades of blue and grey.

There are currently more than 82 search and rescue personnel from British Columbia and Alberta participating. They are employing helicopters, drones, thermal imaging, ground crews, dogs, and even swift-water and underwater groups. Emergency vehicles have been positioned along roadways with lights and sirens at night in the hopes that Darius will be attracted to them.

Searching is challenging because to the dangerous and rocky environment (forest, cliffs, and streams), and volunteers from the general public are being advised to stay out of the area to avoid interfering with or contaminating the search area.

As of right now, the RCMP and Alberta Search & Rescue stress that there is only talk of an optimistic, successful conclusion on the ground.

Please spread the word about this post since more eyes could result in fresh sightings or tips.
