Friends and the App State volleyball community were shocked to learn of the tragic death of Brittany Zahn Arnold, an App State volleyball alumnus, on X. On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the announcement was initially posted on App State Volleyball’s official X account.
After being named the 2007 SoCon Volleyball Player of the Year and starting for the Mountaineers from 2005 to 2007, Brittany was inducted into the App State Athletics Hall of Fame in 2017. Since then, she has had a significant impact on her career.
Since the news is still being developed, no cause of death has been announced as of yet; additional details will be released as soon as they are verified.
